Preference will be given to applicants who graduated from high school in one of the following Texas counties:  Anderson, Angelina, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Franklin, Freestone, Greg, Hardin, Harrison, Henderson, Hopkins, Houston, Jasper, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Morris, Nacogdoches, Newton, Orange, Panola, Polk, Rains, Red River, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Smith, Title, Trinity, Upshur, Van Zandt, Walker or Wood.  In the event no applicant meets this criterion, then secondary preference will be given to applicants who are or were employed or otherwise associated with a library in one of the counties above, as self-certified by applicant. Applicants should clearly articulate in their application letter which, when, and for how long they lived in the counties above.
