Research Interests

Kinza Alizai is an international student, pursuing her doctoral studies in the Information Science program at the University of North Texas. She possesses an in-depth understanding of the displaced communities in Pakistan, such as Afghan refugees. Her academic interests encompass policy and migration studies, with a particular emphasis on the lived experiences of Afghan women. Her research investigates how displacement, legal frameworks, and access to services influence health-seeking behaviors and daily survival strategies within marginalized communities. She is especially dedicated to exploring the intersectionality of gender, migration, and information access to more inclusive and responsive policy development. Kinza employs qualitative research methodologies, including interviews and community-based approaches, to amplify the voices that are often marginalized in mainstream discourse. Through her scholarly work, she endeavors to contribute to equitable migration policies and to advocate for the rights, dignity, and well-being of Afghan women in displacement settings.
