Program Overview

The BS in Health Informatics program prepares you to use data, information, and cutting-edge technology to make healthcare faster, smarter, and better for everyone. You’ll learn how to connect the worlds of health and tech, helping healthcare providers and patients with solutions that actually make a difference.

    See how information systems are used in healthcare and why protecting patient information is so important.
  • Use Data to Make a Difference
    Apply real-world analytics to help healthcare providers (such as doctors and nurses) and facilities (such as hospitals and clinics) provide better, faster care.

    Build teamwork and communication skills while creating tech-based solutions that improve healthcare.

Grad Track Pathway

A Grad Track Pathway is a program option for undergraduates planning to complete a graduate program in the College of Information. A student admitted in the Grad Track program may enroll in a limited amount of graduate coursework that will apply towards completion of the bachelor's degree and then transfer to the graduate degree.

 

Bishnu Sarker

Faculty Profile: Dr. Bishnu Sarker

Dr. Bishnu Sarker is a Health Informatics professor who uses AI, big data, and smart tech to tackle challenges in medicine, like finding new uses for existing drugs and discovering disease biomarkers. His research has taken him around the world, with projects funded by major organizations like NSF and NIH.
