UNT proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its faculty who have been recognized in the prestigious annual rankings of the world’s most cited researchers. These rankings, developed using standardized citation metrics by a team led by Stanford University statistician John P.A. Ioannidis, highlight the global influence of scholars across various disciplines.
Two notable faculty members of the Department of Information Science have earned standings among the top 2% of more than six million scientists worldwide within their respective specialties. These acknowledgments underline UNT's dedication to advancing impactful research.
For the 2024 Annual Rankings, Mohammed Aledhari and Brady Lund were acknowledged for their significant contributions to Information Science.
Many other UNT faculty members were also honored for their lifetime achievements, emphasizing their enduring influence on education. In total, a whopping 20 UNT faculty members made the 2024 list.
This recognition reflects the outstanding efforts of UNT’s faculty to drive innovation and expand the boundaries of knowledge.
