New Mexico Cohort

Overview

Note: Please check back to find out when another New Mexico cohort will begin.

In collaboration with the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center, the Department of Information Science offers a Master's of Science in Library Science (LS) or Information Science (IS) to a cohort of students in New Mexico. The cohort approach combines intensive on-site instruction and social events with a highly interactive online experience to build and sustain a vibrant learning community.

Onsite instruction includes two-day institutes for the core courses taught at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center with the remainder of the instruction delivered online.

The University of North Texas Department of Information Science has a long history of providing high-quality programs at sites that are often many miles from the home campus in Denton. In receiving its current accreditation renewal by the American Library Association, the Committee on Accreditation commended the School for its outreach efforts.

NOTE: There will be information sessions throughout the state and online prior to the application deadline if you are interested in this cohort.

Each of the following individuals is committed to the New Mexico Cohort and can be reached by email, postal mail, fax, and phone.
