The Department of Information Science welcomes Bobbie Bushman, who joined the Information Science faculty as a Lecturer in January 2017. Bobbie previously taught at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. She received her MLS from the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. Bobbie defended her dissertation titled, " Library Services and Early Literacy Approaches in Public Libraries for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children" on April 26, 2017, and will earn her Ph.D. in Information Science and Learning Technologies in May 2017 from the University of Missouri. This fall Bobbie will teach Public Libraries, Digital Citizenship, and Adult Reading Materials in addition to being the Program Coordinator for the Houston Program. Bobbie will be based out of Houston, TX and can be contacted by email at: bobbie.bushman@unt.edu.
