Ana Mendoza wins $3,000 grant for library programming to help new immigrants

In Dr. Bobbie Bushman's INFO 5320 Public Libraries course, students are assigned to write a grant for a public library. Ana Mendoza chose to submit the Vernon Library Supplies Grant for the Literacy Lubbock program at the Mahon public library, where Ana volunteers. Ana's first time grant writing efforts were successful and the Mahon Public Library in Lubbock, Texas was awarded $3,000 for library programming to help new immigrants achieve literacy and proficiency. Congratulations to Ana and Mahon Public Library!
