Alumna Nancy Jo Lambert is TLA's Member of the Month

Nancy Jo Lambert is the Texas Library Association's Member of the Month for July 2016!  Nancy Jo graduated from UNT in May 2010 with a Master's in Library Science. She also attended the University of Oklahoma, Tarrant County College, and the University of Texas at Arlington for her Bachelor’s degree.  

Nancy Jo is currently the school teacher librarian at Reedy High School located in Frisco, TX, and has been a school librarian since 2010. She also has library experience at the early childhood and elementary levels and five years of classroom teaching experience. She is an advocate for libraries, advocating for Mackin's Transform your School Library movement and she holds positions in TLA and the Texas Computer Education Association, and is active in other associations such as ALA and TASL. A big supporter of the makerspace movement, Nancy Jo was at the forefront of the movement ensuring this innovative practice was brought to public and school libraries. She is also a reviewer for the School Library Journal and has been published in several professional journals.
