Northern California Cohort Courses

Schedule of Courses

 

Spring 2019

  • INFO 5000 Information and Knowledge Professions
  • INFO 5600 Information Access and Knowledge Inquiry

The cohort will meet at the Four Points by Sheraton San Francisco Bay Bridge Hotel, in Emeryville, CA from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 19 & Sunday, January 20, 2019, and receive orientation and instruction. The remainder of the instruction for these two courses will be via the Web.

There will also be a welcome dinner on Friday, January 18, 2019 and students are urged to attend.

 

Summer 2019

  • INFO 5200 Information Organization
  • INFO 5300 Management of Information Agencies

The cohort will meet again at the Four Points by Sheraton San Francisco Bay Bridge Hotel, in Emeryville, CA from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019 for advising and instruction for INFO 5200. The instruction for INFO 5300 and the remainder of the instruction for INFO 5200 will be via the Web.

 

Fall 2019 – Fall 2020

Students will take electives delivered via the Web by UNT and from approved local programs to total 36 semester credit hours. 

All students must demonstrate professional practice either through the approval of prior work experience or through taking INFO 5090 - Practicum, in addition to the 36 hours of coursework. Students must also obtain a passing score on the End of Program exam, or successfully complete the two Advanced Topic Seminar courses. In addition to the onsite institutes, there will be various activities in the Northern California area to provide additional learning and networking opportunities.
