Master of Science Program Requirements

The Master's degree requires the completion of 36 credit hours of coursework, nine of which must be the core courses.  In addition to coursework, a three-hour practicum, and a Capstone Experience are required. At the time of graduation, all coursework used to satisfy degree requirements may be no more than five years old. Students must complete all course work used toward the degree with an average grade of B (3.0) or better.  A grade of B or higher must be earned in all core courses.

Students without prior experience may be required to take INFO 5090, Practicum and Field Experience which is in addition to the 36 hours of graduate credit required for the degree.

Students enrolled in the Master's program are encouraged to complete their course requirements in one of the LIS Majors.
