Application Process

  1. Fill out the name of the student for whom you are writing your letters
  2. Peruse the eligibility requirements for the various scholarships if required. Please make note of any special requirements. The scholarship committee and LIS will verify this information. Applications that do not provide correct information will be disregarded.
  3. Check the scholarships for which you are writing your letter. You may write one letter for any number of scholarships
  4. Fill out your personal information.
  5. Compose your letter of recommendation directly in the text box at the bottom of the page. If the scholarship requires special criteria, such as a specified state of residence, program of study, specific level, etc., please provide a description of how the student meets those criteria.

General Guidelines

  1. Name only those scholarships for which the student is applying. The student has been instructed to tell you which when they solicit the letter from you.
  2. Please turn your letters in prior to the deadline.
  3. Please include your name in the letter of reference
  4. In no case will a student be awarded more than two scholarships
  5. You will not receive an email acknowledging receipt your application and letters of reference
