UNT was well represented at the Nevada Library Association/Mountain Plains Library Association Joint Conference, October 16-18, 2017 in Lake Tahoe, Stateline, Nevada.
 
Dr. Bobbi Bushman, Lecturer presented on “Early Literacy Programming for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children.”
 
Sara Jones, Director, Marin County Free Library and former UNT/IS Advisory Board Member was a keynote speaker on “Virtual augmented reality (VAR) “Technology.”

Lynn Klundt, Librarian, Northern State University Williams Library spoke on “Implementing Fake News Evaluation into Information Literacy Sessions at Northern State University”
 
Ann Medaille, Director of Liaisons and Research Services, University of Nevada, Reno - Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center spoke on “Seeing the Big Picture: Using Images to Understand Students' Approaches to the Research Process”
 
Corinne Dickman, Managing Librarian, Washoe County Library - Sparks Library spoke on “Continuing Education: Library Certification Program through the University of Nevada, Reno”
 
Liz Woolcott, Head of Cataloging and Metadata Services, Utah State University spoke on “Local Library Organization is Valley Forged.”
